How long does it take to receive child support in Florida?

Hi. I'm a mother of 5 (soon to be 6) and I know nothing about the child support system. I'm currently living with a friend and I know it can only be temporary because of the need to have our own place. I allowed my children's father to get a place in my name thinking he would pay and now I have an eviction in my name that he wont pay off. I dont want to burden my friend and i was hoping to get a payment before we wore out our welcome so I can start searching for a place of our own. I dont want us to end up in a shelter. This temporary move is suppose to be a new beggining for u after years of struggling because of his carelessness. Please help!!!!!
