My rent man burnt my stuff? should i take him to court?

I recently moved out of a house I was renting and got into it with my rent man because he wouldn't fix any thing so I refused to pay the rent. I was served with a 10 day eviction notice and begin to move out 3 days before my eviction was up I went to get the rest of my stuff he had thrown it out in the backyard and burnt it it was microwave, ps2, baby clothes toys etc.. do you know if I Sue if ill win I have pictures?
