Can we leave politics out of this. Even if I agree with u, talking and arguing about this stuff is not going to change peoples opinions. Think of years of being raised by parents who repeated the same old rhetoric. The stuff they believe in is embedded into their brains. I would just let it go.... And focus on what brings us together.
