Will i get approved for an apartment with a bad credit?

I'm 19, I moved into an apt with a girl I knew but was not on the lease last year, we got evicted though and she blamed the whole eviction all on me which was not right..sued me and I lost.. I had no proof or evidence. The eviction was because of noise complaints, but we BOTH threw parties. Its wasn't fair.. But anyways, I'm not sure if it went on my renters history or not? i didn't sign a lease or anything, I paid her cash for everything. Her name was on the lease though. I don't know what my credit score is, but I do have an express card that I still haven't paid yet..I'm being hit w/ medical bills now and student loans that I'm ncurrently paying off. I want to move into an apartment next month but idk if I will get approved? I just recently got a new job a few months ago making about $1500+ a month about $21K+ a yr so I already know I can afford the apartment. I live in MI. I've heard a lot that renters usually don't check credit scores here moreso the income.. but I'm embarassed and scared I won't get approved!
