NJ Temparary Rental Assistance?

I lost my job 2 months ago and I had to go on Temporary rental assistance the State of NJ is going to pay May rent for me as well as late fees ( told to me by my Caseworker) but the landlord has yet to receive anything for May and has mailed me eviction papers even though they received and cashed Junes check. Can they really evict me? Please no stupid remarks I have a one year old and im a single parent that would do anything to make sure my little girl has a roof over her head...
