My moms tax check is coming in the mail but she is nowhere to be found. I was living in her house helping her with her bills because she lost her main job and needed help. This month I paid up all the bills and all she had to do was give me 300 for rent but she defaulted on it and ran off to another city and disconnected all means of possible contact from myself and anyone else we knew. Now her tax refund is finally coming but we are no longer living at the address that she gave the irs. We rrcieved a 3 day notice for eviction on the 16th and ironically that was th last time I talked to her. She was already giving me half and I plan on giving her the half she wanted but I have no way to contact or find her. I don't want this check to become voided and I really need the money becauseme and my 2 year old are living in a hotel until I can get the funds to find a new home. I have no family and a small amount of friends. My mom just left us high and dry and now most importantly my daughter needs a roof over her head and so do I. Is there anyway for me to cash it? I know my mom isn't coming back...I wouldn't be surprised if I never saw her again.

Re the straw man purchases where a criminal who couldn`t pass background ck hires clean guy to buy guy for him...you would be a fool to do this...the gun is then registered to you..so if he uses in a holdup, murder, whatever & leaves it behind who are they going after? you..& how will you prove you sold it? Especially now that its illegal for you to do so you lose either way. Dumb dumb thing to even consider & I doubt that many if any real crooks do it. Much easier just to steal them. Okay so I can not decide which akm to get next. I just recently got a M60 milled polish and I am hooked on aks now. I want something stamped so I can tacticool it out. Voltor lop adjustable butt stock, kreebs peep sight, ultimack gas tube rail, burris fast fire, xs tritium sight, houge grip, arsenal od green fore grip, and magpul ctr od green butt stock. But I can not decide which rifle to put it on. An arsenal sgl21 or a CIA gp1975. I am not concerend about fit and finish. Just funtion and practical accuracy. 2-4 moa at 100 yards is good enough for me, its gonna be a wrol defensive rifle. The big difference between the two is the arsenal has a chrome lined barrel and the gp1975 does not. I dont know if that is a big deal in a wrol rifle. The m60 doesnt but its milled so its main use is safe queen. I live in northwest indana and there are no rifle ranges i know of so at most the rifle will be shot enough to sight it in and to take to some defensive carbine classes. But other then that its gonna sit in the safe waiting for a day I hope never happens. I mostly shoot rimfire anyways and theres no were to shoot rifle rounds in nw indiana. Landlord lease issues?

Me and my wife have decided to move from the house were living in to move to a house that's a lot cheaper in rent and closer to civilization(here in SC). We have a few move months on our lease with this house but were tired of living here. Our landlord is probably the worst landlord in history, he never fixes anything in the house, never answers his phone when we call, but if he calls us for rent and we miss the call he threats eviction EVERY TIME. But when our fridge went out and we needed a new one we ended up getting one cheap and we called him to tell him how much it was and he avoided us til the next month, I took it out of the rent when I paid him and he made a comment about it. Were moving in a few weeks and don't plan on paying him this next months rent, which he is already asking for early like he does every month. He comes around on the 21th of every month wanting rent early saying that the taxes are due on the house(he using this excuse every month), how often are taxes due on a house anyways? I'm sure it's not every month. But my question is, can us leaving like this bite us in the *** later? Like him taking us to court? He's in a lawsuit now with our neighbors who also rent from him because he pried the back door open to get into the house without telling them also damaging the back door. The cops and code compliance won't come to your rescue.

My bill was around $200 when he moved in. 2 months later it was $1750. He moved in Jan. 21st and payed $100. The next time I got anything from him was Mid May. He gave me $200 and said he wanted $300 credit because he said my boyfriend owed him $100 because in Jan, while my boyfriend was helping him cut wood, the back window of his truck was accidentally broken by my boyfriend. He has not paid any of the electric bill as per the agreement and he refuses to move. He threatens my boyfriend's life daily, breaks into my house, yells, screams and terrorizes my household, sabotages the pump so we don't have water, severely damaged the pump house (tore the walls out and left it with huge holes you can walk through,steals whatever he can, has pinched my butt and made unwelcome sexual comments to me, tries to hurt my dog, and is generally a nightmare to deal with. He has 10 or so vehicles and lots of tools/junk strewn from one end of the property to the other. All the cars have their hoods/trunks/doors open and most have some or all of the interiors and motors scattered nearby. He refuses to stay out of my immediate living space or move his vehicles and mess to his area. The sheriff has been called twice and they wouldn't do a thing to help. The second time was because He tried to break into the home while we were inside(asleep at 1:15 AM). He was screaming and banging on the doors and walls threatening to kill my boyfriend. By the time the sheriff's arrived he was locked in his trailer, hiding. They didn't talk to him because they said they couldn't just break in as the door was locked. They acted like it was us who are the problem and even went so far as to suggest that WE move!!! We have asked him to pay rent, to be nice, to move out and he absolutely refuses. He was served with a 30 day notice of eviction. I know he will not move. What do I do? How do I get rid of this jerk? We can't afford an attorney. We can't afford to pay the bills, that's why my mom let him move onto the property to begin with! He wanted to help us out! I thought maybe I could get rid of him if I let the power get shut off but the sheriff's told me that if I do that my children will be removed from my home and put in foster care. The parents will have to produce a receipt for the rent or a cancelled check or ask the boyfriend to write a letter. If he writes a letter or legal document and lies about the amount of money they pay him, he could be in trouble. Most likely the parents just won't get approved. As long as the boyfriend is collecting the $1100.00 then there is no fraud. I don't believe the boyfriend and girlfriend will be in any trouble as long as they are not applying for welfare. The parents are the ones who have something to lose. They have to re-qualify every few months (not sure how often) so they have to produce receipts, cancelled checks, etc.

Paying full months rent for 5 days of July?

My wife and I are moving. I was at retraining at Knox (which messed up, causing our movers to be delayed). My wife gave the apartment manager 60 days notice, and stated to her there might be a slight possibility of us staying a few days in July. Well, the movers cant come till July 5, and we are leaving the 18th to sign in (parents will be here for movers). Its a month to month rent lease now, and it does state full months rent for partial stay, but this manager never really enforces anything on the lease like loud music eviction. I know military orders can cancel a lease in Ohio, but what about this situation. We gave them plenty of notice, is there a military clause or something requiring them to prorate? Could my parents show them the moving orders to try to get out of a full month of rent, its a huge hassle for so few days.

My husband lost his job a little over 2 months ago, due to this we couldn't afford our town house monthly rent. We had to break our lease with the apartment complex. We had 3 months left on our 1 year lease. We advised the property manager that we were unable to make rent for the month of June at the end of May. We advise if of our move out date, she stated that we were phenomenal tenants and she hated to see us go but she understood the reasoning and she would forfeit our security for the last months rent. On moving day, she came to our home. She stated that because of protocol, she had to file an eviction notice with the court. They only give you a ten day grace period before they file an eviction on you. She also stated that the court date was the 22nd and if we could pay her half the rent she would dismiss the eviction. Since we already forfeited our security deposit and paid for last months rent when we moved in, we didn't see any reason to pay again. When we told her that she stated that because we have children, it could be considered child neglect if we get "evicted." I told her that our children were in Florida with their grandparents for the summer and that when they returned they would have a place to live. She left at that point. When my husband turned in the keys, she once again asked for the money and a forwarding address. We didn't give her any money but gave her a forwarding address which was our PO box. She told him that she needed a physical address to serve papers to and if he didn't give that to her she would be forced to serve myself at work. So to avoid the embarrassment of that we should pay her half the rent to dismiss the eviction notice. I understand protocol but it seems as if she is using scare tactics to get more $$$ from us. We have already left, wouldn't the judge dismiss the eviction notice based on that? I know we are on the hook for breaking our lease but she told us we would work out an arrangement on that. Any help would be great. I live in NC by the way.

Can I finance a car with a 526 credit score and no co-signer?

I'm in my late 20's and right out of HS I moved half way across the country, knowing nothing I racked up a lot of credit and even had an eviction. Now I have managed to pay off most of my high balance cards and a few small ones. My credit score now is about 520 to 526, I have student loans all in good standing and 2 credit cards that are fairly new but also in good standing. I went from having about 25 to 30 negative accounts to having 9 good (6 being student loans, 2 capitol one MasterCard's and my current vehicle) and 8 that are still negative that I am still paying off one at a time. I still owe about $2,500 on my vehicle and make about $2,450 a month full time. I want to put $500 down as well as trade in my vehicle which has a Kelley Blue Book trade in value of $3,700 (Im hoping to get at least $2,800 though). I am not looking for anything over $16,000 is it possible to get financed for that or less without requiring a co-signer? FYI My current vehicle was co-signed by my ex and I have no family to co-sign so I need to be financed on my own.

Also, you change tenses - from present to past and back again - and one minute you've got your character talking in a strong, believable (and very distinctive) young male voice, then he goes posh all of a sudden with 'a fairly bright fellow named Thoreau' and 'I heartily agree' - is that your voice slipping in there? Thoreau's pretty well known so unless you were trying to be funny with that line your character is going to sound ignorant acting as if nobody has heard of him. You also need to work on your grammar - 'it's' ALWAYS should mean 'it is', but 'its' means 'belonging to it', the same way 'whose' means 'belonging to whom' and 'who's' means 'who is'. There were some interesting descriptions like 'young sun' and I appreciated the humour of 'Slumlord'. But in fact, description is something you might want to pare back. I felt assaulted by too much information in the second line about the six dollar alarm clock Mara got for her birthday playing Macarena - it's okay to mention the music, and the source of the music, but forcing us to grapple with extra information just stirs up too many questions. (eg "Who's Mara? Wait, who's telling me this? Why did they get this woman a six-dollar alarm clock? Why is her alarm clock in this room? Does this person not care about Mara? Why? Or don't they have much money? Why? What self-respecting radio station plays the Macarena at 5.30 am? What year is this set in? How loud is 'max volume' - more like plain old obnoxious music or more like a jet taking off?" And so on, and so forth.) Anyway, this stuff (apart from the grammar) is completely subjective. Violation of rights,i called the cops to remove people from my home for trespassing, & they let them stay!?

ok so i let my brother in law & his wife stay with me a couple of nights here & there cuz they were sleeping in their car,i also let them store their things in my basement,but they were all bagged & boxed.One night they waited until about 11pm & snuck through my backdoor & tried to stay in my basement,assuming i was asleep.so i called the cops & asked them to remove them from my property for trespassing...the cop got here & told me that i had to have an eviction notice to get them to leave & that they could stay in my home for however long the eviction notice stated.now they are of course saying that i agreed to let them live there so they wont get in any trouble,but they have no proof whatsoever & from my understanding,even with a verbal contract you have to have a door key,lease agreement,mail coming to the adress or something. this cop simply took their word for it & left them in my home & im wondering if theres anything i can do about it because i definately feel violated.

My boyfriend (bob) and I have been dating for about 11 months. He wants to become a police officer and is applying to the local police force in october. His cousin is a military police officer and said he might be able to get Bob a job on a military base 2 hours away from here as a security guard or something if he pulls some strings. Bob is very excited about getting this job because he thinks it will help boost his chances of getting on to the police force, so if he gets hired he will take the job for sure...the job will be from now until he applies in october and it would be very difficult for me to visit him as he will be living on the military base as I don't have a car or license. I've thought about this a lot and I know that living apart for so long will be very hard on me (I don't know how he'll take it) because I've been in a long distance relationship before and we broke up because of it (the distance was too much). Also, during my relationship with bob ive been seeing him almost every day and it would be very hard to get used to being away from him. Apart from the long distance, I have a trust issue with him...he has cheated on me twice while we were dating, both while being drunk, and ive forgiven but not forgotten...I don't know what will happen while he's up there and I would like to believe he'll be faithful but after the second time, I'm not too sure. I am still VERY much in love with him and I really don't want to break up with him if he moves away to take this job... but I don't know how i'll be able to handle it :( What are your thoughts on this? what should I do? please help! :(

This past Sunday my friend/neighbor informed me that she is the informant (snitch) for the property manager. My sis is trying to get back on her feet...where can she get help?

My older sis is trying to get back on her feet...i commend her for that. We stay in NC if that helps. She has two small kids. She has been back and forth in between friends/parents house. She was just accepted for a apt in the city i stay. She has no car and by all means does not live outside her "budget". The place she is staying is pretty cheap...under $500 but thats what and ONLY what her child support will cover. She still has to consider water and the children's neccessities. I am young myself, only 22 and while i have a good paying job we are still getting "established" and trying to pay off school and car loans. I am still in school so tuition also. We have two kids ourselves so while we are making it we don't have that much to help out. Our parents have boo coo money, but they are ones to help out everybody else down the street but when it comes to their children EVEN grandchildren they turn the other way. Even when i stayed at home since the age of 11 I got NO allowance yet i had to pay for all my necessities, i mean down to female hygiene products. Anyways. She had to move in with my parents to get away from the father of her children. Its not a good environment for the kids and they have made it clear they are not welcomed there and need to get out which is why she has been trying to get out. She is going to start doing daycare to cover her expenses other than rent....which would be best so she doesn't have to worry about transportation or how to afford daycare on a not so good paying job. Her only problem now is that while she will be able to pay the rent and expenses she doesn't know how she will come off the $500 for deposit. Where can she get financial help? We literally just dipped thousands out our savings to get both our cars fixed in this past weekend....yes worst luck ever. So its not a good month for us either. Like i said, she is trying to do the right thing and find her babies a "home" and get on her OWN two feet...but she needs just a little push to get there. I did some research and ran across things like churches and salvation army....will they help her MOVE IN since she has no where else to go?? I thought most of these "emergency housing assistnace" is when they help pay if you are like "behind" on bills and facing eviction that sort of thing. Also let me add, she has stayed with us for a little while the last time she came here. We live in an apt ourselves and it was 3 adults and 4 children (all 3yrs and under), which obviously wasn't best either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Having an item removed from my credit report.?

I will try to make this as short as possible. I had an ex who obtained an apartment in his brother's name (this was found out after I moved from Pennsylvania and talked to his family) for us because I wanted to move from PA to CA. So I moved in and two weeks later an eviction notice was taped to the door. I asked him what it was about and he said his dad will take care of it. So I take the notice to the office and they said the money orders that were given to them to pay for the 1st months rent and security deposit were fraudulent. So I moved out and a couple years later I check my credit report (I never signed a lease) and this $5,500 debt is on my report. I can only guess that he had someone use my ID and sign my name on the lease. So I sent the company a letter through certified mail and gave them 30 days to respond and they haven't. The item still remains. WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP????? I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THIS DEBT REMOVED, ANY SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHAT I SHOULD DO?
